What ScreenLimit is

An app that helps you use your phone and AI more consciously: a short pause before the apps you choose, blocks you set yourself, and honest numbers. It is for adults (18+).

What it is not

It is not a medical device, not therapy and not a diagnosis, and it makes no medical or therapeutic claims. The research it cites is about groups of people, not about you. If phone use is seriously affecting your life, please talk to a doctor or a psychologist rather than an app.

What it cannot promise

ScreenLimit depends on Android letting it run. Phone makers switch background apps off to save battery, updates can turn the accessibility service off, and some security modes block it. We build a fallback for that and we tell you when detection is not working, but we cannot guarantee that every pause always appears. We will never ask to be exempt from battery optimisation or use Device Admin to make ScreenLimit harder to remove.

You are always in control

Every pause can be walked through. Strict mode is something you switch on yourself, and it always keeps one emergency unlock a day. You can revoke our permissions or uninstall the app at any moment.

Free and Premium

• The free version stays free: pauses, Think first, the daily limit, 3 apps and 1 block.
• Premium is a subscription through Google Play: €39.99 a year or €6.99 a month. Students pay €19.99 a year; by choosing that price you confirm you are enrolled at a school, university of applied sciences or university.
• The yearly plan can start with a free week. We remind you two days before it ends. If you cancel in Google Play before then, you pay nothing.
• A subscription renews until you cancel it, which you do in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays until the end of the period you paid for.
• Premium for life is a one-off purchase of €89.99 at the launch price, for as long as ScreenLimit is offered. Early-bird offers run until the date stated with them.
• Refunds follow Google Play's policy. Prices shown in Google Play before you buy are the ones that count.
• When Premium ends, nothing locks you in: strict blocks end, extra blocks rest, and your settings stay for if you come back.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist is free and commits you to nothing. We use your address only as described in the privacy policy.

Liability

ScreenLimit is provided as it is. We are not liable for what you do or do not do with your phone, or for anything you miss while a pause or block is on screen. Nothing here limits rights you have under Dutch or EU consumer law.
